Lady Gaga confirmed this week that she is launching her own makeup line, Haus Laboratories. She didn't reveal much about the products themselves at first, but now we have a first look at exactly what she's dreamt up.
Pigment is the focus of the brand, and vibrant jewel tones are seen in the lineup, which includes lipstick, lip liner, eyeshadow, and multipurpose products. They were all co-created by Gaga and her longtime makeup artist Sarah Tanno, the brand's Global Artistry Director. Products, all vegan and cruelty-free, come in six "hauses" (each $49). Each includes Glam Attack (an all-over liquid shimmer powder), RIP Lip Liner, and Le Riot Lip Gloss. There will also be limited edition duo sets of the shimmer powders ($36) duo sets of the lip glosses ($32) and duo sets of the lip liners ($26).
Here are swatches from the "Haus of Chained Ballerina" set featuring baby pink nudes and a stark, dark glitter pigment.
And here is Gaga modeling "Haus of Metalhead"—deeper rose hues and a chrome silver—herself.
There are no photos just yet of the other collections, which are called "Haus of Goddess," "Haus of Rose B*tch," "Haus of Rockstar," and "Haus of Dynasty."
The shades also all have fun shade names like "Downtown Punk," "Slay Me," "Royalty," and "Give 'Em Heaven." As mentioned in the announcement, Haus Laboratories will sell exclusively at Amazon. Everything will be available for pre-order during Prime Day, July 15 -16, at amazon.com/hauslabs. The products will ship in September.
"Between developing formulas, mixing the shades, designing the packaging and components, as well as casting the models and collaborating on styling, direction, and being the creative director, pulling all-nighters making boards that showed all our imagery and art—this launch is so very special to me," Gaga wrote on Instagram. "This is a labor of love and passion to be the Warhol of an artist I’ve always wanted to be. I love everyone who works w/ me @hauslabs we are a family on a mission: to inspire bravery, inspire a positive community that breeds self-acceptance. We want you to see you as you see yourself."
