I still remember the exact moment I realized the power of a good eyeliner. I was walking in the park with my soon-to-be first boyfriend when we ran into a handful of girls from high school who were definitely too cool to be talking to me. They noticed the eyeliner I had put on for this afternoon date (I rarely wore makeup back then) and started raving about my eyes. If I think about it, I can still be transported back to my 17-year-old self, getting thrown compliments while standing next to a boy she really liked.

All is to say, I've since been obsessed with how a simple swipe of liner can completely transform your look. And my go-to for the summertime? Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, which happens to be on sale for only $15 during Amazon's Prime Day (after you add to cart). I recently wore the liner to a wedding in Mexico, and even through an outdoor ceremony and four hours of dancing on the beach, it did not smudge, proving it's ideal for those moments when you're too distracted by champagne and Kelly Clarkson songs to worry about your makeup.

I'm also not the only one in love with this product. According to InStyle, Michelle Obama's makeup artist Carl Ray loves the Stila liner and says it doesn't "budge or smudge." He spent time traveling with Obama on her Becoming book tour and then did her makeup again when she made an appearance at Essence Festival this July.

Even through an outdoor ceremony and four hours of dancing on the beach, it did not smudge.

Ray detailed Obama's entire July look for Into the Gloss, telling the site, "I added waterproof liquid liner, Stila All Day Liquid Liner, on top of black pencil to lock in the liner from the summer heat and to keep it from budging and smudging."
