Great recipe. Living in Europe, your brands of salt aren't available. Which measurement for fine grain? Also, weight would be nice for ingredients. Hate googling each measure.

this was absolutely amazing i tried it with the supermarket vanilla but made it 4 tsp instead of 2. vanilla is to baked goods as garlic is to a savory dish: just follow your heart. this was a really good cookie but im afraid to double the recipe, instead opting to do everything twice.. like a madman... WORTH IT THOUGH! THANKS BON APÉTIT

I know this isn't a review but I just wanted to know what brand of butter you use for baking. The kind I use isn't very good. If you have any suggestions for better butter that would be great.

I made these tonight and the flavor is classic with some depth and exactly what I want from a chocolate chip cookie. However, they seemed to spread a lot more than the picture, so they were a bit thin. Almost as if they needed a rest. Maybe my butter didn't cool long enough? Regardless, these are great for a week night cookie craving!
