If you found Margot Robbie's loose braids at the Cannes Film Festival photo call a little unexpected, she had a reason for wearing them. The throwback hairstyle was a nod to slain actress Sharon Tate, who Robbie plays in her new film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Spotted by writer Evan Ross, Tate wore her hair with face-framing braids at the Cannes Film Festival in 1968.

The actress, who spoke to People about preparing for the role of Tate, felt an "enormous responsibility" and spoke to Tate's family and friends before filming. "They all said how kind, loving, and good-hearted she was," Robbie said. "I was fortunate enough to step on to set with Debra Tate’s blessing, Sharon’s sister."

Though Debra Tate has voiced her displeasure with the film, she seems to be a fan of Robbie's. Tate spoke highly of the actress to TMZ last year. "Margot is an extremely dedicated craftsman," she said. "She's a very dedicated actress. And yes, of course, she had lots of questions about Sharon and her take on Sharon and I’m very confident she’s going to give us everything we need."

It also acts as insurance in case the parchment paper gets damp.) If you're taking your sandwich out into the world, wrap again in plastic or return to bag or sleeve that bread came in to hold it all together for easy transporting.

If you don’t have pecans handy, walnuts make a great substitute.

Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know About Microneedling

For those looking to improve the look of scars, boost collagen, or encourage hair growth, microneedling can offer a minimally invasive solution. The practice dates back to 1995, but has gained significant traction in recent years thanks to new technology—and YouTube and Instagram, where the mesmerizing (albeit bloody) process stars in tens of thousands of videos. Here, dermatologist Macrene Alexiades , MD, PhD, who has published extensive research on microneedling, along with fellow Yale clinical professor and dermatologist Mona Gohara , MD demystify the multi-purpose treatment. Microneedling creates microscopic punctures in the skin. Simply put, microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purposes of rejuvenation, explains Macrene. The most popular (and cost effective) microneedling device, known as a dermaroller , is made up of micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 and 2.5 millimeters. But, if the prospect of multiple needle wounds s...
